A developer is someone who develops code, a product, or even people. This talk will attempt to model what a healthy, non-siloed team looks like.

At the heart of lean is a people-base system. To be successful in using lean processes every person in the process must strive for continuous improvement.

Technically speaking, a developer might be someone writing code, but in lean terms a developer could be anyone that interacts with people or a product. From that stand point we all could stand to learn a little bit about how to develop.

This session will be presented by two developers who work together and are aiming to improve everyday. We will discuss the practices we use and why, and attempt to model what a healthy, non-siloed team looks like.

Target Audience:

  • Anyone who is part of a team
  • Developers, Project/Product Managers, Team leads, QA’s, etc…

Learning Outcomes:

  • Ability to recognize bad practices in communication and how to correct them
  • Techniques and methods for better team communication
  • Understand how a healthy team develops
  • How to move from a siloed environment into one with communication, collaboration and teamwork
